Chasing my girl to Mexico

Jess is heading off to Mexico for 2 months in a couple of weeks to do an externship as part of her final year in Optometry. While I was sitting around preparing myself for a whole heap of upcoming girlfriend free time (it's a long time!) I figured out that I'm too weak to take it and instead submitted a leave request to evacuate the country to join <cough>pursue<cough> her.

I haven't booked my tickets yet, but I'll be heading over to join Jess in Mexico around the 6th of June, heading to California around June 24 and landing back in Melbourne on the 4th of July.

Unfortunately (well, only in that it consumed all my paid leave) I spent a month in Vietnam, Laos and Thailand at the end of last year, so now I have to get through the next month and a bit without thinking too much about what 5 weeks without pay and the expense of flying to Mexico will do to my savings :-)
