Plantic, plastic from plants
I completed development on a new site this week at work for Plantic, plastic from plants. It's the first project that I've worked on as the technical lead, and it had a tight two week deadline from when I picked it up until it's launch date.
Apart from looking sensational (it's good to work with talented designers), the site features:
- A lot of nice XHTML/CSS.
- A nice Contribute backend (tough considering point 1 above).
- A high level of accessibility. AA compliance wasn't a project requirement, but this is essentially there
Aside from what was required to work with the CMS there was minimal backend development required on this site, but it was still nice to get a great product out the door with a fast turnaround. It's also nice working for a client with such a great product (biodegradable plastic, made from corn). Hopefully the new site will help push their business further into the mainstream.
And now back to work on my next project...
